My most frightening memory from my childhood was a fear I had, that if I ever had any body parts outside of the covers at night - something horrendous from under the bed would grab and hurt me.

Excellent portrayal of the fear - I feel like this one should have gotten first place over your other piece, haha. Though that might be cuz I relate to it more :XD:
